My early paintings were figurative, using colour to represent areas of the body and the various energies inside that control well-being and lives. These colours later developed into fields of colour energy, representing nothing but themselves. My work continued by concetrating on the effects of colour.
I started by mixing the pigments myself and separated them into groups, based on the primary colours and their neighbouring tones. In order to find out what effect colour has upon us humans I used large formats to create a really strong colour confrontation.
During the last few years I have incorperated figures from my films into the colour works.
